Lawton’s International Festival Poster Contest Winners Announced
2008 International Festival Logo Revealed
The International Festival Committee, a subcommittee of the Lawton Arts and Humanities Council has selected the winners for this year’s competition from over forty entries. The over all winning concept was created by Sherena Swatsky in the 9-12th grade category. The design is a pinwheel with many different flags on it. The colorful logo will be used on the International Festival Poster, Festival Brochure, and T-Shirts.
The festival will be held September 26, 27, & 28 in Elmer Thomas Park. The T-shirts can be purchased at the Information Booth during the festival. The free festival brochures will be handed out as patrons enter the festival grounds. The free posters are available at the Arts & Humanities Division Office located on the west side of McMahan Memorial Auditorium, 801 NW Ferris Avenue. The office hours are 8 am -12noon and 1-5pm, Monday –Friday. Call 580-581-3470 or 581-3471 for more information.
